Help! My husband and I are in the process of remodeling our home…Is bamboo ok?
So we really want a dark distressed hardwood, but Im sure as most of you know it can be extremely pricey. We knew this in the beginning of course, however we didnt take into consideration just how much the installation, glue and all the other fees associated was really going to be. My question is, is anyone familiar with bamboo flooring? We found some at a local store that is a dark stain and looks similar to what we want just A LOT cheaper. What are some cons to this VS. the “real thing”
I’m surprised to hear you say you can find bamboo a lot cheaper, because it is one of the most expense woods out there, Maybe your local store is selling it as a close out item, if I were you I’d beat the door down getting back there to get it, Bamboo flooring as not only beautiful, it wears like iron. Just note, you clean it with a well rung out mop with just some luke warm water, NO CHEMICALS! If this floor is laminate, make sure you check the warenty. You want one that has at least 25 years. This floor if taken care of will out last you both. Please keep in mind while absolutely beautiful, it will show every speck of dirt that falls on it because of it’s dark color. Good luck, you have picked out something very special. Hope this helps.
