What is the best cleaning materials to use to clean hardwood flooring?
We have hardwood bamboo flooring in our new home.
Dust often with a soft cloth (Swiffer would do), sweep up anything that could cause scratching like outside dirt or even things like cat litter. Do not use any alkaline product on the floors, hardwood specific cleaners or anything that contains wax. Use only cleaners specifcally designed for bamboo floors. You can occasionally damp mop but can leave no standing water or wet spots.
water damage from h20 mop on hardwood floors?
I just bought the h20Mop that apparently steam cleans any floor surface. I tried it yesterday on my hardwood floors and it left a white residue behind that will not come off!! Any suggestion on how I can remove it with further damaging my floors?
Hardwood or laminate.? In both cases heat is not a good thing. You damage the finish. Can't remove it without removing the finish. Next time read the instructions on how to take care of your floors. They write them for a reason - not exercize.
