Recommendations re: high quality cork for wall?
I'm getting new cabinets, and because my fridge is at the end, there will be a wooden wall from floor to ceiling hiding the side of the fridge. Since a wooden wall is boring, I want to have a cork wall instead, that we can use to post messages, etc. Since my cabinets are Shaker style, I'll frame the cork with a few inches of wood on all sides to match the cabinets.
Since this is just my idea and I haven't run it by my installer yet, I could use any thoughts you have on how this can be done and look high-end, as well as look good for as long as the cabinets will - ten years or more!
So, any recommendations about using cork, or other suggestions for something interesting on that wall, will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Your installer can suggest the moldings he can cut down to frame it, like CCM8 or some light rail. Actually most customers just go with matching end panels as a decorative accent to the plain fridge end panel. Most cabinet companies offer the MTEP's or matching tall end panels. This was it will look just like your cabinets. If you go with cork try your local AC Moore or Hobby Lobby for different cork panels
