The loo is in between a kitchen and a bedroom. I'm thinking of putting cork tiles on the walls and painting them. Would heavy floor tiles be better? I have put them successfully on walls before.
although cork tiles would deaden the sound, they would look tacky after a while, you would be better to opt for the heavy tiles, and maybe carpet on the floor

Materials "feel" cold because heat from our hands or feet (body temperature) flows into the material (room temperature). Better conductors of heat allow more heat to flow in a given amount of time and therefore feel colder, despite the fact that these materials are at the same temperature.
