What happens if you put a wood floor on a slightly uneven?
I have put a solid oak wood floating floor (panels) in a database concrete and have realized that in some areas (approx. 4) joints bow slightly when walking on them. I guess because I have an uneven floor lsightly. What will happen, but if I leave? Moreover, according to the instructions I expansion joint locations of the pins to 10-15mm on the edge. I read that this afternoon can be filled with a strip of cork expansion? Is this correct or should I just leave the gap and take the cuttings? I'm new to this placement of trading floors so any advice is most appreciated. Thanks
It would be OK to remove the pins on the edge of the track and replace with strips of cork, wood needs room to expand when the humidity is high. However, the issue must be addressed together, bowing with a floor leveling compound must also have a humidity of barrier between the concrete floor and wood. It sounds like starting over is better in the long run.
