Cork boards on the wall - removing?
Need to remove several tiles cork wall in my house. Owners of previous cork tiles glued directly on the wall with some type of glue very, very hard. 1) How can I remove the tiles with the least mess? They crumble when removed. 2) The plasterboard is damaged by the withdrawal, should I caulk the areas to be examined, before sanding and painting or doing something else? Thank you! If a professional is needed, what should I look for and what we could reasonably expect to pay? This is not a solid wall, 5 x 4 chips with images of high on a bedroom wall. Apparently, the previous owner did not know that boards need not be permanent ????!!!!!! Argh !!!!!!
This is a job for a professional, not a DIY accident. You could lose the bottom layer of paint and insulation. The wall may not be solid. It can be smooth and you know what the glue and removing chemicals will be sweetness and consistency of the wall.
Where can I get cork panels or tiles frameless?
I'm looking for advice or cork boards for a "to cork board wall in a nursery. No frames, just a bunch of cork. Where can I buy something? Ps I am in Ireland.
