im loking for cork tiles in canada?
I am not really sure what kind of cork tiles you are looking for but you might try wal-mart. They sometimes carry some cork board tiles. They will probably be in stationary with the dry erase boards or maybe in crafts. You could also try some kind of craft store like Hobby Lobby or Joanns but I don't know if you have those in Canada. which sealant to buy for cork tiles?
i know i need to get PU (polyutherane or so) varnish, but at B&Q i got advised cork will soak in a lot of the varnish, if i just buy the normal PU varnish, which is used for wood as well. has anyone a tip or experience with this subject?

It sounds like you are in Britian, but there is a non-yellowing polyurethane product in the States by Varathane that will work on cork. You will need to put 3-5 coats (yes the first two will soak in but then it builds up) if your application is for flooring, but it will seal them without yellowing and repells UVB/UVA light.
