I need some tips on how to best lay karndean flooring?
I understand the preparation steps - ie laying the plywood etc. However I was wondering if anyone could advise how to cut the best corners ie is there a particular tool that can be used as a template for cutting around door frames? Do you need to leave a small gap between the floor and the skirting board? I was also wondering how you go about installing a cork door mat (ie does this go on top of the plywood sub floor?) And what sort of edging can be used to make the edges where the mat goes tidy?

I can answer a few of the questions but not the one about the cork mat. That I don t know how thick the mat is etc.. Any way the flooring , you just either cut up to the skirting boards and then put a shoe molding down ( best way since the shoe will follow any irregularities in the sub flooring) Or remove the skirt board and put your sub floor to the wall and also the vinyl and then put the boards back up.As for the door frames (trim) you should under cut these and slp the flooring under those since it ll look like he!! if you try and cut around them .
