Is extra layer of underlay for laminate flooring better?
I am trying to install laminate flooring in my walk-out basement. The floor is concrete and not nicely leveled along couple of walls. It's not in a state that I can fix nicely with cement or ready-mix levelers. I have tried that and the floor can't be really flat along those couple walls.
Now, the laminates I have bought already has a 2mm underlay attached to them. But I was wondering if I should put another layer of underlay so the air pocket expansions are absorbed better and I don't get a warped floor later on?

No you shouldn t.. The extra cushion may cause the locks to break . If you want extra protection , use a heavy plastic and over lap and tape seams . 6" overlap). And run the plastic up the wall 6" . Cut off excess 2/3 inches and have your base cover it. Leave only QUARTER inch gap .Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar GL
