The flooring has a lot of golden undertones with some darker brown in it. This has been such a dilemma because I do not have a large kitchen, and it is open to the rest of the house. We have been considering tropic brown, uba tuba, and giallo fiorito. What do you think of these, or do you have other suggestions.. Thanks so much...
Since you seem to be considered about it's size I'd say "open it up"...Look at some granite colors like "sand"...it would pick up the redwood color and not clash, and also contains the white. Plus you would have a lot of options for decor with a neutral base. Also you might want to check out the different types of edging they can use. Many are really pretty and add interest.
I have a bitumen/asphalt floor. am i able to install a real wood floor over the top of it?

i really wish you had not bought re all oak flooring ...you should have bought engineered wood ...far far superior finish ..and not prone to cupping like real wood ..you should have asked before you bought ..i honestly do not think you will be successful putting it down ..im a builder ..over 40 years ...son is a chippy ...used to working with oak ...try and change it ..im not trying to upset you ...just being honest through experience
