what would be a cheaper and good substitute for 6 mm cork underlayment?
I am trying to save money so I am changing the carpet for laminate floor, which I bought on sale for 99 ct sf. then they tell me at the association that, since I am in a second flooor, the underlayment have to be 6 mm cork, which costs almost the same than the floor itself. Does anybody know if there is any substitute that would be cheaper and sound proof effective?
never heard of cork,but there is a foam roll under sheeting just for laminate floors,dont remember the price,we put it in our kitchen under our laminate floor.

If IRS did not have a levy recorded at the time of your purchase, you will be fine. It is possible you will have to make your payments to IRS but when the house is paid for you will still own it.
If you got title insurance when you purchased the home, you can rest easy. It is still good to talk to your attorney on Monday but you can sleep just fine in the meantime.
