Wooden floor versus carpets?

We are thinking of taking up the carpets in our living room, dining room, hall and downstairs toilet. We have two dogs and it’s really hard to keep the carpets clean.
We have looked at some beautiful jatoba and bamboo samples which will go well with our furniture.
Please don’t say keep the dogs in the kitchen. We won’t do that.
What are the advantages and/or disadvantages of replacing carpets with wood.

I have wood floors and to medium to large dogs..

I prefer wood floors to carpet myself…
just follow manufactures clean and maintance requirments.
The warm feeling and the versatility is worth it to me..
Cost effective in long term…my floors have been here for 30years also is healthier than 30year old carpet.lol..
Easy to clean up dog hair and other maintance required with having dogs…

Disadvange
Wood floors require maintance and inspection.
Dogs may slip can be bad for dogs hips…(88lbs)
Best to have dog beds or palets for them on wood flooring.
Salt can cause damage so extra care around entrances.

We use runners now in areas where my dianna is likely to slip.
