Problem: Putting a bamboo laminate floor over concrete?

I want to coat the cement slab with Red Guard waterproofing & crack compound to 93 mills. After it dries, I will roughen it up so I can glue the bamboo wood laminate to it. Does this solution make sense?

Like 1 other person, you said laminate.. Most times this is the floating floor system and not meant to be glued down. Now if your doing an engineered wood laminated floor thats a whole new ball game..make sure of that part.. Next, do you have a moisture problem? You trying to prevent water from coming up ? I have my doubts if this will prevent it since moisture coming up can have a lot of hydrostatic pressure and MAY still blow off the Red Guard. And the last thing is , is the wood glue compatible to gluing to Red Guard? If all your looking for is a moisture barrier, for your wood , I let the glue itself act as the vapor barrier I don t use a water soluble glue( some are) its an SOB to work w/ and clean but it holds wood down excellent .
