How to remove dark brown wood stain off Vinyl floor?
it looks like some kind of resin that has stained the vinyl. So far, we've tried soap, bleach,methylated spirits, oomph (an orange based cleaning solution), and turpentine. None have budged it at all. We don't really know what else to use, except if we used thinners, would it be too strong for the vinyl?

done with carpet! what should we use?
we're buying a house and all it has is the partical board down we realy don't want carpet any where in the house because we have a dog and three year old plus just don't like carpet. we we're originally goinig to go with hard wood floors but the more I read up on it they say not good in kithens,baths plus it scratches and dents eaisier than laminate or vinyl and with a kid and inside large dog I don't know if thats such a great ideal.....so.... can ya'll sugest what i should use in what rooms considering my family (kid, dog). Also if what you sugest needs ply wood flooring instead of partical board please let me know....this is a big comitment,,once whatever we choose to put down is down we're stuck with it for quite a while so PLEASE help me all answers welcomed even if someone already said what you wanted to say atleast agree so i can see which one has most agreeables....Options::laminate, tile, hardwood, vinyl. I definatly dont want the self adhesive squares
